Free Science Action Club programming

SAC logoI’m excited to announce that applications are now open at https://goo.gl/forms/4SBIddZA1mxR2qqP2 for participation in Science Action Club (SAC), an environmental science program for middle school afterschool providers.

Through games, projects, and hands-on activities, youth in SAC investigate nature and use citizen science to document discoveries, share data, and design strategies to protect our planet.

This year, SAC is available to select afterschool programs in New Jersey free of charge. This includes two exciting curriculum units – Bugs and Birds – each with 12 weeks of hands-on STEM activities and supplies for up to 20 youth. We’re recruiting up to 15 middle school sites, serving grades 5-8.

Participating programs and their staff will complete an interactive, self-paced online course and then attend a face to face training to be held on November 1st from 930a-1pm at the JFK Branch of the Piscataway Public Library. For programs that are selected, you MUST complete the online module (approximately 2 hours) prior to attending the training on November 1st. Failure to do so will exclude you from participating.

Please review the Eligibility Form to learn more about the benefits, program eligibility and program requirements, and then submit your application to participate.
